I build my clients\u2019 websites using WordPress, a CMS originally designed for blogs. Over the years, it has evolved into a powerful and versatile platform.<\/div>
WordPress is a true \u201cSwiss Army knife\u201d with endless possibilities. Smaller websites, such as a landing page<\/strong> or a so-called one-pager<\/strong>, can be built quickly. But WordPress also makes it easy to create larger projects like online shops<\/strong> or classic news websites<\/strong>\u2014and, most importantly, to keep them updated with ease.<\/div><\/div>
I leave the development of WordPress themes and plugins to the true specialists in that field. What I do is often described as WordPress Implementation Specialist<\/strong> or WordPress Solutions Specialist<\/strong>. In other words, I work with existing themes (collections of templates) and plugins to bring my clients\u2019 layouts and ideas to life. I build websites using page builders<\/strong>, customize stylesheets<\/strong> (CSS), and extend or adjust functionality with PHP<\/strong> and\/or JavaScript<\/strong>. This approach is faster and more cost-effective than starting completely from scratch with a custom WordPress theme. <\/div>
For the \u201ctougher cases\u201d\u2014such as custom plugin development<\/strong> and API integrations<\/strong>\u2014I can rely on a network of specialists<\/strong>. Almost anything can be made possible.<\/div><\/div>

Optimization and Security<\/strong> <\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
Website optimization is one of my top priorities. Even though internet access is getting faster\u2014whether at home, in the office, or on the go\u2014a website should never take longer to load than necessary. That\u2019s why I optimize all image files before integrating them into a website. <\/div>
At the end of a project, I can also implement additional measures on request\u2014such as caching configurations and compression of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS code\u2014to achieve the best possible score in the Google PageSpeed Insights Tool<\/strong>.<\/div>
This not only improves SEO<\/strong> but also ensures your website loads faster across all devices. Of course, site speed also depends on the hosting provider, and I\u2019m happy to assist with choosing the right one.<\/div><\/div>

I wouldn\u2019t call myself a web designer who can also code\u2014rather the other way around.<\/div>
Although I\u2019ve developed a strong sense for design since the early 1990s through my work in and with various agencies, I prefer to leave the truly creative concepts to a skilled graphic or web designer. My strength<\/strong> lies in the implementation<\/strong> and further development<\/strong> of those ideas into fully functioning websites. A little design always finds its way in, though.<\/strong><\/div>
I have extensive experience with CSS<\/strong> (Cascading Style Sheets) and with working on and optimizing WordPress themes<\/strong> and plugins<\/strong>. My knowledge of PHP and JavaScript is also sufficient to make specific customizations when needed.<\/div><\/div>
