For me, it’s not just about the tech,
it’s also about a passion for every single pixel.

Landing pages, websites
and a little bit more

I build my clients’ websites using WordPress, a CMS originally designed for blogs. Over the years, it has evolved into a powerful and versatile platform.
WordPress is a true “Swiss Army knife” with endless possibilities. Smaller websites, such as a landing page or a so-called one-pager, can be built quickly. But WordPress also makes it easy to create larger projects like online shops or classic news websites—and, most importantly, to keep them updated with ease.
I leave the development of WordPress themes and plugins to the true specialists in that field. What I do is often described as WordPress Implementation Specialist or WordPress Solutions Specialist. In other words, I work with existing themes (collections of templates) and plugins to bring my clients’ layouts and ideas to life. I build websites using page builders, customize stylesheets (CSS), and extend or adjust functionality with PHP and/or JavaScript. This approach is faster and more cost-effective than starting completely from scratch with a custom WordPress theme.
For the “tougher cases”—such as custom plugin development and API integrations—I can rely on a network of specialists. Almost anything can be made possible.

Optimization and Security

Website optimization is one of my top priorities. Even though internet access is getting faster—whether at home, in the office, or on the go—a website should never take longer to load than necessary. That’s why I optimize all image files before integrating them into a website.
At the end of a project, I can also implement additional measures on request—such as caching configurations and compression of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS code—to achieve the best possible score in the Google PageSpeed Insights Tool.
This not only improves SEO but also ensures your website loads faster across all devices. Of course, site speed also depends on the hosting provider, and I’m happy to assist with choosing the right one.
If desired, I also take steps to make your website as secure as possible.

Webdesign

I wouldn’t call myself a web designer who can also code—rather the other way around.
Although I’ve developed a strong sense for design since the early 1990s through my work in and with various agencies, I prefer to leave the truly creative concepts to a skilled graphic or web designer. My strength lies in the implementation and further development of those ideas into fully functioning websites. A little design always finds its way in, though.
I have extensive experience with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and with working on and optimizing WordPress themes and plugins. My knowledge of PHP and JavaScript is also sufficient to make specific customizations when needed.

For all websites I create,
I also offer maintenance and support.

Scope

  1. Backup creation and/or monitoring
  2. Checking your website for required updates and errors
  3. Corrections (content, structure, functionality)
  4. Content changes and additions

Time required

from 2 hours / month

Costs

from € 100 / month
or based on actual effort
More extensive edits of content and functionality are charged at € 50 / hour.
For WordPress websites not originally created by me, I am happy to take over further maintenance and support after an analysis and a familiarization phase with the site’s specific requirements.

Bottom line

My day rate for web projects is €380. If preferred, billing can also be done on an hourly basis at €50/hour.

Like with most freelancers, though, a workday for me usually means more than just 8 hours — it’s definitely not a 9-to-5 job. So don’t worry, I won’t just drop the mouse after exactly 8 hours and collapse face-first onto the keyboard.
